It was that time of year again, the Abunai anime convention. 3 days of utter silliness and overdosing on energydrink :)
Of course as usual it was preceded by heavily stressing about cosplay and other preparational stuff (like trying to make a very cool video out of very bad material for a friend's cosplay act)...
The vid wasn't a complete disaster and I loooved my cosplay, so I guess this years mental breakdown was worth it again ^__^
To make the weekend even a lot more fun than the usual conventions: I finally met up with Trice! Had a lot of fun and fangirling together :D
Gah I hate returning to the real world again...
For the first time in ages I finally had a clear, albeit short, bishiedream!!! It was a little bit sick though XD
Kubozuka Yosuke was my brother, but his love appearantly went a bit further then normal brotherly love (angel sanctuaru anyone? XD). We were in a hotelroom and kissed. A wonderful delightful kiss!
Unfortunately after that it got blurry and eventually the dream was about my ex-bf whom I'm having some issues with atm... =_=
*Gets mind back at Yosuke and drools*
extreeeemely short part of my music-inspired story. this part was inspired by T's Waltz (from the drama Strawberry on the Shortcake <3)
Waltz
Fall showered the world with cold rain, but it couldn’t get a hold of them. Together they defied the bitter winds and kept each other safe.
They would share their lunches at the park. Quietly sitting on a bench, letting the silence tell its story. She would smile when she looked at him carefully dissecting his lunch before eating it. He would look up and gently wipe a small grain of rice from her cheek.
They would walk back to school holding hands. In that brief hour the world stopped turning.
At school nobody knew. Nobody would notice them disappearing.
Divided by the distance of the classroom, they’d patiently sit out their classes, waiting for a chance to reunite. Parted by his popularity and her seclusion, they would wait until they could fly again.
They continued this dance all autumn, waltzing their way between the world’s reality and their own. Never noticing how the rain wet their hair and how the wind chilled their faces.
They would sway back and forth, holding each other, wishing this could be forever.
Little untitled RyoPi fic...
It was almost midnight when Yamapi arrived at his apartment block. It had been a frustrating day and all he wanted was to get home and unwind.
With hurried steps he climbed the flight of stairs to his floor. He rummaged through his pockets in search of his keys as he walked briskly through the dim lit hallway. As he reached the door he finally spotted a dark figure leaning next to the door to his flat. The guy was all dressed in black, topped off with a dark hat hiding his face as he seemed to stare at the floor.
As Yamapi approached the guy looked up and touched the rim of his hat. “Yo”
“Ryo? What are you doing here?”, Yamapi asked as he looked at his fellow band member suspiciously.
“Can’t I just pay you a visit without purely out of good intentions?” Ryo smiled sweetly.
Yamapi smirked. “Well, one can never be sure of your intentions”, he said accusingly and opened up the door.
Ryo took of his hat and looked Pi in the eyes “Can I come in?”
Yamapi’s lip twitch slightly as he seemed to consider this request. “It’s late, you should go home.” He stepped through the door and tried to close it behind him but was stopped by Ryo halting the door with his foot. Pi rolled his eyes and decided to give up, nothing can stop Ryo when he’s in a stubborn mood. The two guys entered the apartment.
Ryo slowly walked up and down the living room as Yamapi disappeared into the bedroom to change into a clean shirt.
Tired of waiting Ryo said with a loud voice, “You know, I was wondering how you could write a song like Daite Senorita, Pi. But I figured it out now, you always write what you feel! Pi, I know that you’re cheating on me!”
Immediately Yamapi popped out of the bedroom, his shirt still undone. “HUH? How could I cheat on you if I’m not even wíth you??”
Ryo approached with a menacing look. “Maybe you think you’re not with me, but you are still mine,” he tilted his head as he stood closely in front of his opponent, “so don’t you dare cheat on me…”
Yamapi held ground and tried to hide the slight tremor in his voice. “It’s none of your business, Ryo. I can bloody well have sex with anyone I want to, whenever I want to!”
A wicked little smile appeared on Ryo’s face. As Pi wanted to turn away, Ryo grabbed his arm and pulled the guy towards him. Decidedly he planted his lips on Pi’s. His dark expression melted as he gazed into Yamapi’s eyes with his eyes half closed. “What is it you want, Pi?”. He answered him with a kiss.
The room was all dark, it was easier this way. They lay on the bed, exhausted. Ryo tried to focus his eyes but could only make out a vague silhouette of the slender figure lying beside him. He couldn’t resist letting his fingers slide over the smooth skin of Pi’s chest. Pi rolled over and let his hand rest just above Ryo’s bellybutton in return.
“Ryo-chan?”
“Hm?”
“I’m sorry”
“About what?”
“I’m sorry for cheating.”
Ryo folded his arms back under his head.
“That’s OK, Pi, I’ll forgive you.”
Right now I'm going through some very tough emotional stuff, so maybe I'm seeeking too much behind things. But I want to share this strange thing that happened yesterday anyway.
I was coming home from my mom's place by train. Going home felt like a really heavy burden, I was feeling so tired and emotional when I finally got off the train. I would have to wait at the busstop for 15 minutes and was really disliking the thought of those 15 quiet minutes.
From a distance I saw there was another woman waiting for the bus. I really can't explain why but when I saw her, even though it was quite far away, for no reason whatsoever the word 'angel' shot through my head. Of course I didn't give this a second thought at the time.
I walked on to the busstop and stood there waiting, a bit to the side as usual. the woman was sitting a couple of metres away on a bench. Then she told me we had just missed the bus (she had a very lovely foreign accent :)). I pointed out to her that it was sunday so the bus would come in 15 minutes, this made her very relieved. She then kept on talking to me and even got up to stand next to me and talk. This is something that absolutely never happens to me, I'm really not the kind of person to attract random talks with strangers (i probably made it a habit to stand at the side of the busstup to even prevent these conversations...)
The woman sounded so happy and spirited, it made me cheerful as well. She told me about another time she missed the last bus and how she then got a lift home from a stranger. She told how happy she was to meet such a nice person and stated "as long as there is even only 1 good person on this earth, the world won't come to an end yet". She also said how we should just trust in eachothers kindness, if you only distrust people you're life feels awful.
Recently I have been feeling lost and unsure what the point is of being alive in this world, so what this woman said to me really struck a chord...
Maybe I'm overreacting, but I really can't shake the thought that this woman (this angel?) was sent to me purposely to keep me company when I needed it and to give me the divine message of trust...
The first workday after my vacation I heard that due to budget cuts my contract won't be renewed when it ends... thing is that it won't end til February, so it's still half a year into the future.
I could wait a bit before properly looking for a new job, but it's probably better to be prepared and keep a close watch on any job openings. Besides, it's not very motivating anyway to know you're basically unwanted...
So to prepare I have to do at least two of the following things this weekend:
- Index all websites and organizations concerning media jobs
- Build a digital portfolio
- Find out the easiest and least painful way to get a driver's license
- Research possiblities to study for a master's degree abroad *coughhongkongcough*
I decided I'd try to make congee today. Made it with chicken and mushrooms. Turned out delicious. Only one problem: I'll probably be eating it all week long...
Okok, finally time to start my report on my travel :)
After 6 hours of train and 11 hours on the airplane I was, of course, completely knackered. Yet as soon as we boarded the bus to Yuen Long I got completely hyper seeing the mountains and the skyscrapers and the beautiful bridges connecting Lantay Island to the mainland. I traveled together with 3 friends, 2 of them are chinese.
We stayed at an apartment owned by Chi's family (yay for free sleepingaccomodation!). The house was in a tiny village sort of in the middle of nowhere. It was great to see the countryside, I thought I was more likely to only see the big city.
Of course we didn't really spend any time at the appartment, after waking up between 9 and 11 (yay holiday!) we would immeadiately get the bus or train to the shopping destination of the day. Came back home with 15 kilo more than I left with...
Between all the shopping we'd entertain ourself by scouting cute guys and girls (with me being the only girl in our group the boys insisted to add finding cute girls in the game). Eventually we'd even discuss a person's beauty out loud and rate them... kinda embarrassing but it was a lot of fun. (and for the record, the highest rate I found was a 9.6 on a scale of 10, it was an icecream vendor at The Peak ^^)
Another thing that really amused me was the overkill of warning signs. Every escalator has a 'please hold the handrail at all times' sign. 'No spitting' signs in the trains. Often the sign were written in such poor english or sported very strange pictures so it wasn't even clear what they forbid you to do.
And please don't step onto the toilet seat??
A thing I really miss already is the great food. Dim sum, congee and I even enjoyed some seafood! The food was also quite cheap :) Ow and japanese food! :o Okonomiyaki and takoyaki *drools* I'm never able to get that stuff at home...
Last but not least I'll miss the bishies :p Quite an evil sales trick in the electronics malls to have very cute boys greeting you. How is it possible to not buy their goods like that?
The funniest bishie experience was when a moderately cute guy in a mall suddenly ran past me like a madman and then sneezed very loudly. He then started to apologize profusely. It seemed so strange to me, why apologize like that to a stranger just for sneezing?? Only afterwards it suddenly came to me maybe I should've handed him a handkerchief so he would have to wash it and return it to me later, thus opening the path to a wonderful romance... *gets lost in her fantasies again*
Back home... sadly so. I had such a great time in HK! The shopiing, the food, the beautiful sights... Very vibrant city, the people who live there are lucky :)
The reason it was for my own good to return after 2 weeks:
I'll try to write more and upload some pics later this week. Time to watch one of the many japanese movies I bought :p
I'm off to Hong Kong for 2 weeks :D Watch out HK bishies, jojo's coming to town! >:)

* does the sho-dance* XD I miss you! read more
